Reserves Audit
The petroleum reserves audit is an examination of the data and interpretative geology and reservoir engineering methods used in a comprehensive reserves assessment at a given date. The audit's aim is to give a judgement on the appropriateness of the aggregate reserve estimations as well as the accuracy of the methodology. The audit also examines the categorization and status of reserves in relation to the implementation of any particular reserve definitions that are utilised.
